President and CEO
President and Founder Paul Farahvar is a licensed attorney in the State of Illinois and has been practicing law,
focusing on general civil litigation and entertainment law since 1999. He began his musical endeavors following bands like
The Police, U2, and R.E.M through the 80s. Through high school, he had a knack of "discovering" bands before they
were recognized commercially (the Samples, Counting Crowes, Big Head Todd, Dave Matthews Band). With that sort of ear
for music, he tried to form bands throughout college and law school at the University of Illinois. After years of
flailing bands, he co-founded Shoeshine Boy, a pop rock band with a focus on vocal flair and substance. Shoeshine Boy
made some minor waves in Illinois as one of the hottest upcoming acts in Chicago and Champaign. They shared the stage
with acts like the Why Store, Tim Reynolds, Willy Porter, and Blue Mountain.
He gave up playing music (for the most part) to focus on artist development, management, and production. Currently, in addition to
running Shoeshine Boy, Paul is a part-time associate at the law firm of Hartigan & Cusinier and lead guitarist of Karma Tease (a
local band with members of Liquid Soul, Air This Side of Caution & lead singer Jocelyn Baker. He also has recently performed bass and guitar with various artists in Chicago including Monica Da Silva, Brett Ratner, and Chris Buehrle. He will be a partner at the law firm of Cuisinier, Farahvar & Benson, Ltd which opens its doors on April 1, 2008
